Akshay Kumar, born Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia on September 9, 1967, in Delhi, India, is a prominent Indian actor and film producer in Bollywood. Known as “Khiladi Kumar” in the media, he has had a career spanning over three decades, appearing in more than 100 films and winning numerous awards, including a National Film Award and two Filmfare Awards. He received the Padma Shri, one of India’s highest civilian honors, in 2009.

Kumar’s journey in the film industry began in 1991 with “Saugandh,” followed by his breakout success in the action thriller “Khiladi” in 1992. He established himself as an action star with the “Khiladi” film series and other action-packed movies like “Mohra” and “Jaanwar” in the 1990s.

Expanding his repertoire, Kumar ventured into romantic roles with films like “Dhadkan,” “Andaaz,” and “Namastey London.” He also showcased his comic timing in hits such as “Hera Pheri,” “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi,” and “Phir Hera Pheri.”
